 Reviewing a project package, including comparing engineers’ drawings and specifications versus proposal package for risk evaluation and discrepancies – scope, technical, financial, delivery, performance, logistics, and other potential gaps
 Coordinating with Project Engineering Supervisor to correct orders as required
 Developing Project Execution Schedule in MS Projects for maintaining project deliverables and resource scheduling
 Developing documentation requirements on a project to project basis for use with clients
 Making sure that all project resources are adequately booked for the work required
 Reviewing of Mechanical drawings for correctness, functionality, operability, and alignment with Project requirements
 Coordinating Project requirements, ensuring that Mechanical and Electrical personnel are in line with project requirements
 Maintaining gross profits of the assigned projects by value engineering and timely reporting of any potential financial risk to supervisor
 Maintaining BOMs for Major Project Components, utilizing SAP
 Sourcing, and assisting Purchasing department, of materials for projects and standard designs. Coordinating material pricing and delivery with vendors. Assisting in coordinating mechanical contract work for projects
 Coordinating with purchasing, MRP, production, quality control and shipping departments to maintain project timeline
 Producing and maintaining all relevant documentation as per project requirements on the mechanical side
 Organizing documentation into quality books and operation manuals with the help of designated documentation coordinators
 Recording lesson learned at the end of project and submitting the same to supervisor
 Following designated procedures for creating, coordinating and/or documenting information in SAP or other programs
 Participating in Kick-off and Technical review meetings with clients as required
 Overseeing and managing document and drawing submissions to clients
 Submitting schedule updates and change orders to the client, including progress reports and all communication/negotiation surrounding schedule and scope changes
 Liaising with clients for custom projects with respect to Mechanical and Project aspects
 Ensuring project timelines and deliverables to clients are maintained
 Reviewing consulting engineers’ drawings and specifications. Specify pumps, materials, valving, motors, instruments to use – Focus is on the Mechanical side, some Instrumentation selection will be required
 Assisting and guiding the design of chemical feed equipment, including application of pumps, motors, controllers, valving and piping in response to customer needs and order requirements
 Creating and maintaining process schematics to ensure proper functionality and alignment with project requirements, utilizing AutoCAD
 Answering technical questions from consulting engineers, manufacturers’ reps (distributors) or end users regarding system design
 Managing documentation system for technical documents and drawing files
 Sizing and developing equipment parameters to ensure proper functionality and alignment with Project requirements
 Overseeing the release of production packages to production in a timely manner, ensuring accurate and up to date information is provided
 Assisting production with scope, technical, quality and other clarifications as required
 Witnessing quality and functional testing to qualify equipment when required
 Coordinating system start-ups with Technical as required on a project to project basis
 Providing and assisting with development of standard products, documentation and specification sheets for products. Focus on developing the project engineering document system (processes and forms)

Qualifications and Skill Requirements

 Degree/Diploma in Technical/Engineering or related field

Working Experience –

 1 to 3 years’ Experience with Water Treatment Equipment, Pumps, Process Related Equipment preferred
 Electrical experience an asset

Additional Qualifications –

 Knowledge of Industrial Standards such as ASME Pressure Vessel and Piping Standards, ASTM, TSSA, ABSA, API, etc. that surround
the Water Treatment, Heavy Industry or Oil and Gas industries
 AutoCAD experience required
 High level of computer literacy
 Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat
 Knowledge of MS Projects will be required
 Ability to manage priorities and provide sound communication management
 Professional individual with detail-oriented, documentation, organizational, and communication skills (both written and oral)
 Professional Standing an asset

Position is a contract. Will start with 6 weeks, but have the opportunity to go longer term.
