Lavage Cleaning Technician

Equipment Processing
- Disassemble equipment for proper cleaning after use in raw material collection.
- Clean lavage equipment following the approved Standard Operating Procedure.
- Assist with re-assembly of lavage equipment.
- Ensure equipment continues to function as expected with run-through testing.
- Organize lavage equipment into spare equipment vs. equipment to be sent for the next lavage.
- Load equipment onto the lavage truck, ensuring all items required are present, loaded, and strapped in properly for safety.
- Move the truck into position for loading and unloading when required. 

Lavage Collection (Meat Harvesting Plant)
- To learn and perform the three positions of the lavage operations (Trachea cutting, Trachea tube insertions, Trachea Tube removal).
- To learn and perform the three positions of the loading and unloading equipment operations (Truck load/unloader, hoist operator and equipment retrieval).
- Drive the lavage truck to and from meat harvesting plant on a regular basis.

Other Tasks
- Wash and dry lavage laundry as required.
- Maintain the washbay in a clean and orderly state.
- Prepare salt, raw materials, equipment and supplies for the lavage process.
