Job Description
Soan Mechanical Ltd. is a mechanical contracting company working in the construction industry since 1981 providing plumbing and heating installations to the commercial, light industrial and residential sectors. This position will report to the Owner.
Responsibilities:
- perform accounting duties such as reviewing, analyzing and reconciling general ledger accounts
- prepare and maintain accounts receivable functions including bank deposits and reconciliations
- prepare all government filings such as income tax, HST, WSIB, source deductions
- perform month end tasks and prepare monthly financial reporting
- assist in the review and preparation of year end financial reporting
- record and summarize costs for construction projects
- process change orders and other tasks related to construction projects
- administer company benefit and pension plans
- provide backup support for A/P, payroll, HR issues, and more
Qualifications:
- college degree/diploma in accounting or business administration
- experience in construction related industry preferred
-experience with integrated accounting software, Sage 300 preferred
-experience with Excel, Word and Outlook
-strong written and verbal communication skills
Working Environment:
Work from our office location in a private office. During these times, we have restricted access to the office to employees only.
