Job Description

London Bridge is a non-profit umbrella organization comprised of 15 licensed child care centres in London, Sarnia and Huron County. We provide loving, individualized care and education for children ages 0-12 years in group care settings.

We are currently looking for a Director of Finance to join our administrative office team in London on an interim basis for 16 months commencing sometime in May 2020. We offer some flexibility with hours ranging from 30-40 each week to best suit candidates needs. This position will appeal to someone who provides efficient management and financial services for an organization nurturing curious minds and kind hearts.

The Finance Director will manage the organization’s financial operations, including budgeting, preparation of financial statements and reports, maintaining internal controls, while overseeing financial systems and related compliance requirements and advises the senior management team on financial decisions and developing strategies to achieve financial objectives. Working with a dedicated Administrative team overseeing accounts payable and receivable.

The successful candidate will have:
  • Business or accounting education and experience, Designation Preferred
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and team-building skills
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Tact and discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential matters
  • Expertise in the use of accounting software—Sage preferred.
