INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SERVICES - SUMMER STUDENT POSITION
Two (2) students are required in Information Technology Services to assist with its WIFI Technology Deployment project.
Candidates must be 16 years of age or older, currently attending school full time and must be
returning to school full time in 2021 September. **Submit a copy of your current school timetable
with your electronic application.
Qualifications: TVDSB Information Technology Services is seeking to hire two students to assist with the deployment of Wireless Access Points. Work consists of the configuration and installation of wireless access points and supporting Ethernet switches in TVDSB schools. Activities associated with this work include climbing step ladders, securing devices to brackets on walls and/or ceilings, testing of WIFI coverage and documenting work completed. Knowledge of WIFI and Ethernet technologies would be desirable. Travel will be required to all TVDSB locations, so access to a reliable vehicle would be an asset.
Dates of Employment: 2021 July 2 – 2021 August 27
Location: Remote or Records Centre (951 Leathorne St. London)
Hours of Work: 35 hour per week
Monday-Friday: 0830 -1600 with a ½ hour unpaid lunch
Rate of Pay: $14.25 per hour plus 4 % vacation pay (over 18 years of age)
Expiry Date: 2021 May 10
