Prime Management Group Inc., is pleased to be partnering with the Diocese of Huron of the Anglican Church of Canada, based at Huron Church House in London, Ontario in the recruitment effort of a proven, highly collaborative and values-based Director of Finance.
Reporting to the Executive Archdeacon with accountability to the Bishop, and working as a key member of the Diocesan Executive Staff, this hands-on Director of Finance is responsible for the leadership and oversight of the Diocese’s financial function, while effectively supporting and moving forward the Diocese’s vision, leadership, and mission.
What You Will Do:
The Director of Finance is accountable for the strategic leadership and execution, at a hands-on level, of all current and long-term financial planning goals/objectives, financial reporting, policies, programs, and fiscal best practices, which will ensure the Diocese of a continuously sound future financial structure.
This compelling leader will provide empowering and visionary leadership to the Finance team and all internal organizational partners and external stakeholders, while leading and overseeing the budget planning process, all audit and internal control activities, cash flow/credit obligations, fund/asset integrity, systems maintenance and government agency reporting.  The Director of Finance will also ensure the provision of insurance and payroll services while working closely with church leaders (diocese and parish levels), volunteer boards and committees to share best practices for sound financial management and regulatory requirements. 
What You Will Bring:
As the successful candidate, you will bring a minimum of 5 years of proven integrity based and empowering leadership experience to the organization as a financial professional, preferably in a not-for-profit environment, coupled with a degree in finance/accounting and a CPA designation.
This hands-on working Director will have comprehensive experience working with and overseeing the finanical function for an organization and successfully delivering on all accounting deliverables and accountabilities with a high attention to detail. This compelling leader will also have experience working with various accounting systems, with a preference to those with NewViews Accounting Software experience.
Financial leadership experience working in the non-profit sector is preferred, as is a passion to support the ministry of the Diocese and the wider the Anglican Church of Canada and good working knowledge of its culture, norms, and structures.
Position Benefits:
