We are on the lookout for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper who will be essential in managing our financial records and providing support across various divisions, spanning auto glass, window tint, and residential/commercial flat glass installations.

In this key role, you’ll maintain precise financial data, handle accounts payable and receivable, prepare insightful reports, and assist management in making informed financial choices to foster our business growth.

 

Key Responsibilities

Initial Focus on Accounts Payable:

  • Accurately and promptly process vendor invoices.
  • Match purchase orders and receiving documents with invoices.
  • Prepare and execute weekly cheque runs and EFT payments.
  • Actively communicate with vendors regarding invoice discrepancies and payment statuses.
  • Keep vendor files updated with current contact and payment information.
  • Support month-end AP reporting and accruals.

Progression into Accounts Receivable:

  • Generate and issue customer invoices based on sales or service reports.
  • Monitor receivables and follow up on overdue payments.
  • Process incoming payments via cheque, EFT, and credit card.
  • Reconcile the AR ledger and customer accounts.
  • Engage with customers to resolve payment disputes or account discrepancies.

General Bookkeeping Duties:

  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date general ledger entries.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Conduct bank and credit card reconciliations.

Requirements

    • Qualifications & Ideal Traits
      • Diploma or certification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
      • 2+ years of experience in AP/AR and/or bookkeeping roles
      • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar)
      • Strong Microsoft Excel and data management skills
      • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational habits
      • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
      • Ability to prioritize and work independently in a fast-paced environment
