In partnership with Prime Management Group Inc., and as a result of a retirement, Copernicus is now seeking a dynamic Controller to join their passionate and progressive team in Arthur, Ontario.

Reporting to the President, the Controller will provide leadership and direction of company financial reporting, budgeting and planning; ensuring that company procedures are in accordance with established legal, regulatory, and company policies and procedures. Responsible for the Administration and Information Technology team, this strategic leader will set goals and targets relating to the team’s quality and productivity and facilitate continuous training and improvements to the process. From an operational, finance, and internal control perspective, this position will support new systems/project selections and implementation while promoting and maintaining positive corporate relations.

To qualify for this unique and vital opportunity, the successful candidate will possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting, preferably complemented by a Professional Accounting designation (CPA, CA, CGA, CMA). This individual will have 5+ years’ management experience leading the operations of finance/accounting procedures within a small- to medium-sized organization. It will be essential for this individual to possess strong critical and creative thinking abilities to make sound decisions, strategize and implement company initiatives while working inclusively with all team members. This inspiring leader will exhibit a contagious enthusiasm to engage others in the mission and vision of the organization with the demonstrated ability to develop, coach, and mentor cross-functional teams effectively.
