Accounting Associate

Key Accountabilities

  • Prepare month end journal entries and reconciliations with complete back up in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Prepare and support the analysis of the financial statements and regular monthly reports in a timely manner, as required.
  • Complete product line income statements and variance analysis with explanations for all significant items, as required.
  • Prepare, analyze, and assist with accurate processing of monthly accounts payable and accounts receivable aging, as required.
  • Provide complete payroll backup in the absence of the payroll clerk.
  • Provide support to interim and year-end audit.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • A university degree or college diploma in Accounting, Business or a related discipline is required.
  • Candidate should be prepared to enroll in the CPA program.
  • Experience with an ERP system (Infor ERP experience is an asset)
  • Effective communication skills, written and oral, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel
