Press Set Up Operator

Job Title: Press Set Up Operator - Permanent Hire

Location: Woodstock, Ontario

Work Type: Permanent

Salary: $65K/yr

Vacancy: Existing vacancy 

 

What you'll do

  • Setting up and operating punch presses and stamping presses. 
  • Setting up, adjusting, aligning presses. 
  • Performing daily Preventative Maintenance Check List.
  • Inspecting product as per SOP’s
  • Ensuring all proper equipment has guarding in place. 
  • Loading of coils onto un-coilers. 
  • Complete all set ups and first-offs with machine operators. 
  • Able to troubleshoot, adjust sensors etc. 
  • Continuous operation of press during break periods, covering for the regular press operators on identified equipment. 
  • Follow health and safety standards, policies and procedures


 

What You’ll Bring
  • Minimum of grade 12 or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in metal stampings or forming. 
  • Ability to operate a Crane independently and safely to become Crane Certified. 
  • Mechanically inclined. 
  • Good communication skills.
