The Company
At Ontario Plants Propagation Limited, our vision is to be Eastern North America's premier supplier of greenhouse vegetable transplants. To help us accomplish this goal, we need to hire motivated passionate people that will support our workforce and facilities. We are seeking a Spanish translator to join our Human Resources team. The successful candidate will support the HR Department with interpreting for Spanish speaking foreign workers.

Job Description/Responsibilities:

• Variable shift times depending on seasonal demand, mostly on call.
• Assist with onsite/offsite translation services for temporary foreign workers
• Assist with delivery of translation of trainings programs to promote workplace health and safety, new employee orientation, safety talks, equipment lock out, etc
• Provide accurate interpretation and translation of external and internal content from English to Spanish or vice-versa   
• Attend medical appointments at local hospitals and health clinics
• Other duties as required/assigned.

• Bilingual, fluent in Spanish and English
• Must have reliable transportation
• Winter months are considered peak season, must be available to work November through January
• Professional verbal and written communication skills, both one-on-one and groups.
• Students are welcomed to apply, must be available weekends and holidays

• Greenhouse environment in a rural area, reliable transportation required
• Must be willing and able to travel locally:  between Elgin-Middlesex County

• $21 per hour
