General Labour - Counterbalance Experience

Pay: $20.34/hour

Our client, a leading industrial recycling and manufacturing operation, is currently seeking Forklift / Machine Operators to join their team on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced production environment and are looking to build a long-term career with a stable and growing organization.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating production equipment, monitoring material flow throughout the facility, performing forklift duties, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the production process.

Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Pay: $20.34/hour

Responsibilities:

  • Operate production machinery and processing equipment safely and efficiently
  • Perform equipment start-up and shutdown procedures
  • Monitor conveyors, material flow systems, and processing equipment for jams, blockages, or operational issues
  • Complete pre-operational inspections, production reports, and required documentation
  • Operate forklifts to move raw materials, finished goods, and production supplies throughout the facility
  • Load, unload, stage, and transport materials as required
  • Conduct routine quality checks to ensure product specifications are met
  • Assist with scheduled maintenance activities and basic troubleshooting when required
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with housekeeping standards
  • Follow all health and safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding production concerns or equipment issues

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience operating machinery in a manufacturing, production, recycling, or industrial environment
  • Valid forklift certification is required
  • Experience operating counterbalance forklifts in a production environment
  • Comfortable working around industrial processing equipment and moving machinery
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Reliable transportation and ability to work a continental shift schedule (not rotating)
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

Working Environment:

  • Industrial manufacturing and recycling facility
  • Exposure to varying temperatures, dust, noise, and moving equipment
  • Fast-paced production environment requiring constant awareness of surroundings
  • Combination of equipment operation, forklift driving, and general production responsibilities
