Press Set Up Operator

We're seeking a Press Set Up Operator to join our client's team in Woodstock.
 
What We Offer:¯
  • Salary: $30.90/hr + shift premium 
  • Job Type/Shift: Full-time, day and afternoon shifts 
  • Permanent position
 
What You'll Do:¯
  • Set up and operate punch presses and stamping presses. 
  • Set up, adjust, and align presses. 
  • Perform daily preventative maintenance check list.
  • Inspect product as per SOP’s
  • Ensure all proper equipment has guarding in place. 
  • Load of coils onto un-coilers. 
  • Complete all set ups and first-offs with machine operators. 
  • Troubleshoot and adjust sensors, etc. 
  • Operate press continuously during break periods, covering for the regular press operators on identified equipment. 
  • Follow health and safety standards, policies and procedures
 
What We're Looking For:¯
  • Must have recent press set up experience within the last 3 years.
  • Minimum of grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in metal stampings or forming. 
  • Ability to operate a crane independently and safely to become crane certified. 
  • Mechanically inclined. 
  • Strong communication skills.
