Manager of Budget and Grants

Grand Erie’s 4,000 employees provide quality education to approximately 28,000 full-time equivalent students who attend our 73 schools. The Board spans a geographic area encompassing the City of Brantford and the counties of Brant, Haldimand and Norfolk. The head office is located in Brantford. The Manager of Budgets and Grants leads the budget development and financial reporting processes for Grand Erie. Responsibilities include developing the operating budget ensuring transparency, participation, consistency, accuracy, efficiency and effectiveness throughout Estimates and Revised Estimates budget cycles. In addition, this role is responsible for the financial reporting duties within the board including analysis, monitoring, submission and compliance to both the Board, the Ministry of Education and other key stakeholders. This position will also have oversight of the school accounting team. Key Responsibilities Reporting to the Senior Manager of Business Services, the Manager of Budgets and Grants leads four direct reports who support the responsibilities outlined below.
