Build accurate estimates. Shape winning bids. Drive project success from day one.

We're seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Estimator to join a dynamic preconstruction team. In this role, you'll be responsible for preparing complete and competitive cost estimates across a range of construction projects, supporting work from early pursuit through final handoff.

If you enjoy working with drawings, numbers, and fast-paced bid deadlines—and you're confident in your ability to spot risks, build accurate pricing, and collaborate with trade partners—this role is for you.

What You'll Do

  • Complete detailed quantity take-offs for labour, materials, and equipment
  • Prepare budgets, schematic estimates, and full cost breakdowns
  • Review drawings and specifications to define full project scope
  • Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities within estimates
  • Manage the full bid process from tender receipt to submission
  • Coordinate subcontractor and supplier pricing requests
  • Build bid comparison sheets and evaluate trade coverage and scope alignment
  • Negotiate pricing and scope with subcontractors and suppliers
  • Incorporate RFIs, addenda, and clarifications into final submissions
  • Lead bid closings and prepare complete tender packages
  • Support design development and value engineering initiatives
  • Assist with project handoff and budget alignment
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and estimating best practices

What We're Looking For

  • Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architectural Technology, or related field
  • 3–5 years of estimating experience in a general contracting environment
  • Experience with commercial, industrial, or institutional projects
  • Strong ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating/take-off software
  • Strong understanding of construction methods and contracts (e.g., CCDC)
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple bids under tight deadlines
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and team-focused mindset

Why Join Us?

  • Work on a variety of commercial and institutional projects
  • Collaborative preconstruction and project delivery teams
  • Opportunities to grow your estimating and leadership skills
  • Involvement in meaningful, high-impact projects
  • Supportive environment focused on accuracy, innovation, and continuous improvement
