Welder/Fitter

Pay: $25–--$35/hour

Our well-established client in Woodstock is currently hiring both Junior Welders and Senior Welder/Fitters. Candidates with a minimum of 2 years of welding experience in a custom fabrication shop environment are encouraged to apply. This is an excellent long-term opportunity to join a team-oriented workplace with room for growth and advancement.

Pay & Benefits

  • Pay range: $25–$35/hour, based on experience

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also being self-motivated and independent
  • Strong blueprint reading skills from shop drawings and engineered drawings
  • Strong knowledge of fit-up procedures
  • Strong understanding of weld symbols and CWB welding procedures
  • Experience fitting small and large weldments using layout tools and fixtures
  • Ability to accurately read and use measuring instruments such as tape measures, squares, and levels
  • Ability to identify weld defects and non-conforming parts
  • Experience setting up and operating MIG welding equipment for steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
  • Experience with custom fabrication and adapting to customer-specific requirements

Preferred Skills & Assets

  • Saw cutting operation experience
  • Pipe bender operation experience
  • SMAW welding experience
  • Experience using cutting torches and handheld plasma equipment
  • Experience maintaining industrial equipment
  • Forklift operation experience
  • Overhead crane operation experience

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform some heavy lifting
