Industrial Electrician

Pay: $42.93/hour

Our client, a well-established industrial manufacturer in the Fergus area, is currently seeking a licensed Industrial Electrician to join their maintenance team on a continental rotating shift. This is a long-term opportunity offering strong compensation, excellent benefits, pension contributions, and consistent overtime availability within a unionized manufacturing environment. Location: Fergus, ON Pay: $42.93/hr Starting Wage + Premiums + OT What You'll Be Doing Troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment and production machinery Diagnosing electrical breakdowns involving motors, drives, heaters, controls, and instrumentation Working with PLCs, drive systems, and automated equipment Completing preventative maintenance and repairs Updating maintenance records and work orders within a computerized maintenance system Supporting continuous operation of manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced environment Qualifications Valid 309A or 442A Electrician license Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities Experience working in an industrial/manufacturing environment Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs considered an asset Familiarity with AC/DC drives and control systems Comfortable using maintenance software and diagnostic tools Strong commitment to safety and preventative maintenance practices Shift Details Continental rotating schedule (days and nights) 12-hour shifts Every second weekend off Significant overtime opportunities available Shift premiums averaging approximately $10,000 additional annual earnings Compensation & Perks Starting wage of $42.93/hr Wage increase after probation Unionized environment Comprehensive health and dental benefits Pension plan with strong company matching Tool allowance Boot allowance Prescription safety glasses coverage Uniforms and cold-weather gear provided On-site employee gym Flexible vacation scheduling with no major annual shutdowns outside of Christmas This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to join a stable, team-oriented maintenance department with long-term growth potential.
