On behalf of Home Hardware, Prime Management Group Inc. is recruiting an experienced and hands-on Production Supervisor for the Paint Manufacturing operation in Burford, Ontario. Reporting to the Manufacturing & Distribution Manager, this role will oversee daily production operations within a fast-paced chemical manufacturing environment producing paint, aerosols, caulking, and related products. Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with Workplace Health & Safety legislation and maintain a safe working environment for all Team Members
- Participate on the Health & Safety Committee and lead monthly departmental safety meetings
- Coordinate staffing and raw material availability to meet daily production requirements
- Step into production duties as needed to support operations and maintain workflow
- Monitor production schedules and communicate any risks or delays to management and scheduling teams
- Track line speed and production output to achieve daily targets
- Ensure equipment is operating efficiently and coordinate maintenance support when required
- Perform ongoing quality checks to ensure products meet company standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve quality concerns related to production batches
- Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
- Monitor waste disposal practices and maintain spill response supplies
- Complete and oversee daily cycle counts and support inventory activities
- Communicate production goals and KPIs with team members and encourage employee involvement in process improvements
- Coach, mentor, and develop employees to strengthen performance and engagement
- Monitor attendance, coordinate scheduling, and ensure adequate staffing coverage
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
- 5+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience within a manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience within chemical, paint, industrial, packaging, consumer products, or continuous manufacturing environments considered an asset
- Strong knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety legislation and manufacturing safety practices
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage performance, and navigate difficult conversations professionally
- Hands-on leadership style with strong floor presence and problem-solving capability
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or 5S initiatives preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel
- Oracle ERP experience considered an asset
- College Diploma, University Degree, or equivalent combination of education and practical manufacturing leadership experience considered

- Competitive hourly wage ($30.70–$36.75 per hour) plus bonus programs
