Employment Group: Support
Hours:  35 hours per week.  
Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Some weekends and evenings at the start of the academic term, or during special events such as graduation or the College Open House.
Pay Details:  $28.56 per hour

Note: This is a full-time Support position (35 hours per week).

Duties: Under the general supervision of the Manager, Campus Stores Operations, the incumbent is responsible for the overall purchasing of program specific uniforms, purchasing, merchandising and promotional activities of the Red Zone (clothing store) and Variety Store with the goal in mind of meeting/exceeding sales and margin targets both in store and on The incumbent will also be responsible for GM and uniform special orders and representing the Red Zone and Variety Store at annual events such as Employee Appreciation, Open House and Graduation.

  • Post-secondary 2-year diploma related to Business with a Purchasing/Supply Chain Management focus
  • Minimum 3 year’s purchasing experience in a retail clothing and fashion environment preferably the education sector, relating to general merchandise
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered; preference will be given to applicants meeting the education requirements
  • Exceptional knowledge of retail merchandising and inventory techniques such as open to buy purchasing, just in time, cycle counts, inventory turns, markdowns, etc.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Be innovative and creative
  • Experience in working with an online point of sale system
  • Knowledge of accounting principles related to revenue, payables, discounting, and various pricing procedures
  • General retail and merchandising experience including marketing and promotions
