Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Production Manager to oversee and lead our manufacturing operations. The Production Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient production of high-quality control panels, adherence to project schedules, and the implementation of best practices in our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate should possess a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of success within the automation industry.

Responsibilities:
  1. Production Management: Oversee and manage the entire production process for custom industrial automation control panels from inception to final delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion of projects while meeting established quality standards.
  2. Team Leadership: Lead, train, and mentor production teams, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages productivity, accountability, innovation, and skill development.
  3. Resource Planning: Develop and implement production schedules, resource allocation, and capacity planning to meet client requirements and optimize production efficiency.
  4. Quality Assurance: Work with the Quality team to maintain strict quality control measures throughout the production process, ensuring that all control panels meet industry standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  5. Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvements and lean manufacturing initiatives to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and increase overall productivity.
  6. Project Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Project Management and Quality to ensure seamless communication and coordination of production-related activities.
  7. Supply Chain Management: Work closely with the Procurement team to ensure the availability of necessary materials and components required for production, maintaining an optimal inventory level.
  8. Health and Safety Compliance: Promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the production facility. Ensure employee training and records are maintained and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  9. Human Resources: Conduct regular performance interviews, manage vacation/time off schedules, handle employee discipline and report larger issues to upper management.
  10. Budget Management: Monitor production costs and expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure that production remains within the allocated budget.
  11. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate production records, prepare regular production reports, and present updates to senior management.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or College diploma in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a production management or similar role, preferably in the manufacturing or industrial automation industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of industrial automation, electrical systems, and control panel design.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience managing and motivating cross-functional production teams.
  • Proven project management skills, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in fast-paced environments.
  • In-depth understanding of lean manufacturing principles and process improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with safety and regulatory standards in the industrial automation industry.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and clients.
  • Proficiency in using production management software and tools.
