Pay Details: $35.06 per hour

Hybrid Work: This is a hybrid role (remote work and in-office – Oxbury Mall location and Advanced Business and Industry Solutions). Subject to change at anytime.

Note: This is a full-time Support position (35 hours per week) starting March 1, 2024.

Duties: Reporting directly to the Executive Director, Business Development and Strategic Support, the Grants Coordinator is responsible for identifying, tracking, monitoring, researching, writing, and submitting grant government, business development, and other grant and proposal opportunities on a regional, provincial, national, and global scale. The incumbent will conduct primary and secondary research, create a database to track and monitor funding opportunities, evaluate feasibility with internal and external stakeholders, develop the methodology, write the proposal, support management with budget creation, submit the application, and track conversion rates. The Grants Coordinator will also participate in the development and implementation of College metrics, at the enterprise and departmental levels, intended to better enable College decision-makers and staff to align and integrate their efforts toward focused results.


QUALIFICATIONS
  • Post-secondary 4-year degree in Social Sciences or related field with advanced courses in planning, project management, research methodology, and grant writing
  • Minimum 5 years’ proven experience conducting needs assessments and qualitative research for the purposes of developing grant proposals on a regional, provincial, national, and global scale
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered; preference will be given to applicants meeting the education requirements
  • Advanced expertise in writing various types of grants
  • High proficiency with word processing and presentation graphics to prepare reports and disseminate results to key stakeholders
  • Advanced knowledge of EDI
  • Exceptional attention to detail is required
  • Experience working independently and working collaboratively with internal and external partners is required
  • Experience in a post-secondary environment is preferred
  • Experience working within a business development environment
