Are you an experienced Electrical Designer with knowledge of pumps and related process equipment?

Designing chemical feed equipment, including application of pumps, motors, controllers, instrumentation, PLC and electrical wiring in response to customer needs and order requirements on the electrical/instrumentation design side. Primarily Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls.
Reviewing customer specification
Developing and designing Control Panel, and drawing P&ID
Creating Electrical drawings for Systems, includes panel drawings, wiring diagrams.
Developing and designing of Control Logic and PLC Programming for System Controls
Assist with onsite commissioning of equipment with PLCs and troubleshooting
Ensuring electrical equipment selected and designs adhere to the appropriate electrical code.
Answering technical questions from consulting engineers, manufacturers reps (distributors) or end users regarding system design
Maintaining and building drawing library file
Ensuring project schedules and deadlines are maintained.
Preparing, maintaining and certifying electrical drawings in E-Plan and AutoCAD
Documenting Control Logic, Functional Descriptions and PLC Logic for project requirements
Utilizing SAP to create and maintain BOMs
Producing and maintaining all relevant documentation as per project requirements on the electrical/instrumentation side
Organizing documentation into quality books and operation manuals
Assisting in managing documentation system for technical documents and drawing files
Assisting Sales, Marketing and Technical departments with drafting requirements to create graphics for catalogues and brochures
Following designated procedures for creating, coordinating and/or documenting information in SAP or other programs
Coordinating material pricing and delivery with vendors
Assisting in coordinating electrical installations and wiring projects
Performing and witnessing quality and functional testing to qualify equipment
Preparing and Comparing "As-built" skid system against order requirements and making necessary corrections
Providing and assisting with development of standard products, documentation, and specification sheets for products. With focus on developing the project engineering document system (processes and forms)
Occasional travel to clients, customers, and work sites
Infrequent international travel
Qualifications and Skill Requirements
Degree/Diploma in Technical/Engineering or similar field
Work Experience –
Experience Building Industrial Control Panels (min 2 years)
Experience Designing Industrial Control (min 2 years)
Experience Developing & Testing PLC programs (min 2 years)
Experience Developing & Testing HMI Programs (min 2 years)
Electrical field troubleshooting an asset
Competency Requirements
High level of computer literacy; AutoCAD experience required; E-Plan Experience an asset
Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
Experience with CSA, CEC, and other Electrical Standards and Codes is preferred
Industrial Process and Process Piping knowledge would be an asset
Professional standings an asset
Professional individual with detail-oriented, organization, documentation, and communication skills (both written and verbal)
Ability to work on multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly
Position is a contract. It'll start as 6 weeks but has an opportunity to continue longer term.
