Job Description
Agilus is recruiting for a Financial Analyst in the Insurance Industry, in Waterloo, Ontario.
This role is within Group Retirement Services (GRS) Finance, is responsible for the daily valuation, accounting control, and financial reporting.
A typical day:
- Providing day to day technical support on all processing issues, and based on weekly rotation, final reasonability analysis and communication of evening unit values
- Accountable for the set-up and review of reconciliations to support the control environment
- Responsible for the set-up of new funds, fund transfers and fund closures including working with both internal and external business partners
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation of all processes
You bring:
- Post-secondary education in business and/or accounting
- MUST have fund accounting experience working with Investments, Mutual Funds, or Segregated Funds
- Actively pursuing, or successful completion of, an accounting designation (CPA, CMA, CGA, CA)
- Strong communication skills to deal with individuals at all levels of the organization
- ¢ Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Adobe) with proficiency to manage large data sets systematically and efficiently
- Self-motivated, innovative, and adaptable
Total rewards:
- $31.38 - $32.19 hourly
- Estimated Contract Length: 2022-05-30 to 2022-08-26
