Job Description
Grand Erie District School Board represents more than 28,000 students in 58 elementary schools and 14 secondary schools within the City of Brantford and the counties of Brant, Haldimand and Norfolk, as well as students from Six Nations of the Grand River First Nation and Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. With a dedicated staff of more than 2,900, Grand Erie is committed to learning, leading and inspiring. The Education Centre is located in Brantford. You will work to meet established targets for client success in both employment and job retention. Through development and facilitation of workshops you will assist clients with successful job search techniques and knowledge of local labour market requirements. Assist with various activities within the community to engage employers and clients. Use your excellent documentation and report writing skills to manage a challenging workload.
All submissions are to include a complete cover letter, resume, qualifications, and the names of three (3) professional references at least one of which must be a current supervisor (one document if submitted electronically). All new employees are required to provide an original Police Record Check (which includes a “vulnerable sector search”) acceptable to the Board prior to the commencement of employment.

Responsibilities:
As an Employer Consultant, you will work collaboratively with other staff to support clients through their journey to sustainable employment. This Includes relationship development and retention with employers, identifying placement opportunities for clients and creating positive relationships with other community organizations.You will work to meet established targets for client success in both employment and job retention. Through development and facilitation of workshops you will assist clients with successful job search techniques and knowledge of local labour market requirements. Assist with various activities within the community to engage employers and clients. Use your excellent documentation and report writing skills to manage a challenging workload.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of one year's experience working with clients of all ages facing multiple barriers to employment and relevant post-secondary education is preferred.
- Experience with client management software is required. A working knowledge of EOIS CAMS and FedCap Cares is preferred.
- Knowledge of the local labour market and the ability to facilitate virtually and in person Is required.
- Fluency in languages other than English Is a strong asset.
