StarTech.com is seeking a Chief Marketing Officer to join the executive team. Reporting to the President, the Chief Marketing Officer will have a proven track record of working collaboratively with executive teams to achieve global targets. 

The Chief Marketing Officer will develop and implement marketing strategies and plans across various distribution channels and customer types, leading the integrated marketing planning process, and enhancing the brand globally. The Chief Marketing Officer will work closely with the StarTech.com executive team. 

Specific duties and accountabilities include
  • Work with product and sales to deepen and extend our customer and channel partner relationships in service of revenue growth
  • Build and lead a high-performing, global marketing team that is aligned to the StarTech.com customer focused strategy
  • Establish corporate marketing and revenue goals through a dynamic strategic planning process
  • Manage the overall marketing strategy of StarTech.com, while simultaneously managing the day-to-day execution of plans and tactical marketing goals
  • Expand global market presence by initiating and realizing opportunities with channel partners
  • Maximize strategic relationships with existing and potential customers as well as industry and professional associations
  • Develop and achieve marketing plans based upon customer and market insights to implement StarTech.com’s global segmentation strategy
  • Establish strong cross-functional relationships with internal stakeholders, including but not limited to product management, technology, inventory, customer service and sales
  • Contribute to the overall enhancement of the StarTech.com brand globally
  • Assist in the hiring and termination process, including but not limited to performance evaluations and individual productivity reports
  • Foster an environment of continual training, productivity and overall improvement of global marketing team
  • Mentor, train and encourage the development of new and less experienced marketing representatives
  • Work closely with finance to ensure that marketing objectives are realistic, and budgets are based on sound considerations of cost and return
  • Be the “customer champion” and measure customer satisfaction by taking appropriate actions to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction and loyalty  
 
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
  • 5-10 years of related senior management experience in marketing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Stellar record of meeting and/or exceeding marketing and revenue growth targets
  • Experience working in a cross-functional work environment
  • Proven capability to successfully lead a high performance, global marketing team through the establishment of buy-in and alignment
  • Team-building in multi-regional enterprises
  • Exposure to international marketplace
  • Success in integrating marketing and selling to various channels in either a B2B or B2C context
  • Demonstrated skills and abilities in developing and implementing marketing strategies
  • Proven depth with marketing processes, systems, procedures and contract management skills
  • Track record of providing strategic contributions of significance to a company’s success
  • Proven business communication skills, including preparing reports, presentations, running meetings and public speaking

An undergraduate degree (business, marketing, management, finance) required; MBA is preferred
