Job Description

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will provide clinical supervision to Communicative Disorders Assistants (CDA) in accordance with CASLPO guidelines.  The candidate will participate in the delivery of Kindergarten Language Literacy in the Classroom and must also assess through a variety of means the level of communicative functioning of students.  The individual will consult and collaborate with school personnel, community service providers and parents within a tiered approach to intervention and participate as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.  In addition, make recommendations about the use of communication equipment and other programming to enhance the development of communication skills for all learners.  

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Speech and Language Pathology is required
  • Verification of post-secondary education (diploma/degree or original transcript) will be required
  • Registration in the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO) is mandatory
  • Experience in an educational system is preferred
  • Reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license is required
  • Must be proficient in the use of computers including digital assessment practices
  • Must be knowledgeable about a tiered approach to intervention
  • Demonstrated success working in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Experience in a publicly funded school board an asset

Job Specifications
Hours of Work 35 hours per week September 1, 2022 to November 6, 2022 then 17.5 hours per week November 8, 2022 to June 30, 2023
Rate of Pay $75,183 to $88,714 Full time annual salary
Effective Date September 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023
