Job Description
Agilus is recruiting for a Graphic Designer for our client in Waterloo, ON
This role is an opportunity for a passionate, energetic and organized design professional that enjoys the challenge of solving problems with innovate design.
Reporting to the Creative Services Manager, the Creative Designer will work in an agile environment.
Part time: 17.5 hours per week
Type: 1 year contract role.
Responsibilities:
- Generate ideas and provide the creative flair that will take our Marketing initiatives from good to great
- Provide design consulting advice on how to best execute on the vision of the key initiatives for the business
- Develops and delivers digital, print and motion graphic creative material, animated videos, web ads, html emails, podcasts, mobile & tablet apps and social media tools
- Builds relationships with key partners and collaborates to build the best product who support digital/print communications across the company as well as select external vendors
- Balances creative brilliance with the ability to self-manage in an agile environment
- Take ownership of assigned design projects from end-to-end including consulting, designing, working with digital or print requirements
- Support development of digital communications channels, including but not limited to;
- Consistently drive and contribute to the overall creative acumen and growth of the creative team
- Must be adept at juggling multiple deadlines, time management for themselves and others and working independently
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully under pressure and consider revisions from internal stakeholders/clients with the goal of creating an effective end product
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in graphic design and/or digital design or motion graphics design
- 3 to 5 years of Graphic Design experience in a creative or digital agency or equivalent
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and other design/video software programs in a Mac environment
- Exceptional portfolio that demonstrates video, html email development, digital and print executions
