In partnership with Prime Management Group Inc., Craigwood Children, Youth and Family Services is seeking a strategic, engaging, resilient, and empowering Manager of Human Resources to join their dynamic team in London, Ontario.

What You Will Do
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Manager of Human Resources will work with a high level of cultural humility to play an influential role on the senior leadership team at Craigwood Children, Youth and Family Services. This confident, gracious leader will be accountable for the overall direction and operation of the Human Resources Department and all associated programs and functions in support of the agency’s organizational goals and objectives. This emotionally intelligent HR professional will effectively collaborate with all leaders and team members to provide a progressive approach to the management of the human resources function, while providing motivating leadership to staff, and implementing new policies and procedures to provide impactful improvements and organizational efficiencies.
Key Accountabilities:
  • Lead the implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and development of the organization’s HR strategies and procedures.
  • Manage the full cycle recruitment process ensuring a competent, high performing work force with consistent staffing levels.
  • Coordinate the organization’s Job Evaluation System, including Pay Equity implementation.
  • Work with external benefit partners to ensure the administration of benefit plans and resolution of discrepancies. 
  • Ensure any workplace injury claims are documented and managed in an accurate, and timely fashion. 
  • Develop employee and leadership organizational training plans and performance metrics to inspire high levels of performance across the organization. 
What You Will Bring:
  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in HR Management as well as CHRP or CHRL (preferred) designation.
  • Minimum of 5 years direct experience as a senior HR professional, with an additional five years as an HR generalist, within a unionized environment.
  • Strong understanding and exceptional working knowledge of labour relations and Ontario labour laws, and demonstrated experience in administering collective agreements, collective bargaining negotiations, conducting investigations, resolving grievances and preparing for arbitrations/mediations.
  • Experience in providing consultation, coaching, and mentoring to management teams and employees.
  • Proven conflict resolutions skills and an ability to initiate and conduct crucial conversations.
  • Strong initiative and judgment skills with the ability to work with discretion when dealing with sensitive HR situations.  Excellent self-motivation skills, coupled with strong time-management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, leadership, communication skills, and computer literacy with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Specialized education in any of the HR related disciplines, e.g., labour relations (preferred). 
  • Experience in a social/human services environment (preferred).
  • Bilingualism will be considered an asset.
