Job Description
SRG is currently recruiting a Life Insurance Assistant to work in our clients Waterloo,ON office. General Responsibilities:
-Support the Estate Planning Advisor by processing life business, preparing cases and assisting with client services of new and existing clients
-Produce financial plans which may include insurance and investment solutions
-Provide insurance and annuity quotes
To qualify for this position you posses:
-2 years insurance and financial planning experience OR relevant university or college degree
-A Certified Financial Planning (CFP) designation is an asset
-Life insurance liscence and industry experience are assets
-A firm understanding of the financial planning process and the ability to work with software packages, including but not limited to insurance company illustration software, MS Office (especially Excel) and FP Solutions (Financial Planning)
-The ability to prioritze and organize simultaneous assignments and meet ongoing deadlines in a fast paced work environment
-Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
-A service oriented attitude and a professional image
-A desire for future growth potential and increasing responsibilities
-Motivation to learn about and be part of the sale process
-Excellent attention to detail
This is a part-time position (10-20 hours a week) with flexible hours; that could lead to a future full-time position.
Rate of pay is $15-$20/hr depending on experience.
