Our client , a leader in the education industry is looking for a Sr. Business Analyst to join their project team for a contract assignment

The Business Analyst will be part of a team consisting of a Business Analyst, Governance Expert and Security Analyst who will work with the Data Architect to complete Phase 1 of the project ( the implementation roadmap and high-level time line; providing the fundamental groundwork for Phase 2 of , the implementation of a modern enterprise architecture for end-to-end data management and analytics.)

3. Project Objectives

The Data Architect will lead the Project Design Phase to develop the detailed design and implementation roadmap and high-level timeline for the development and implementation ; including:
• High level modern enterprise architecture for end-to-end data management and analytics,

• Management and governance operating model,

• Reporting and analytics operation model,

• Risk and security model,

• Organizational roles and responsibilities for a sustainable business model, and

• Financial model.

Business Analyst Role Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years’ experience across a wide range of technologies including enterprise systems, network and cloud offerings,

• Strong analytical skills and superior interpersonal communication ability to interact with colleagues and senior stakeholders,

• Listening skills, to understand what people say and to detect what they might be hesitant to say,

• Analytical skills, to critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a more general understanding, distinguish presented user requests from the underlying true needs, and distinguish solution ideas from requirements,

• Analyze and critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconciling conflicts and deconstructing high-level information into detailed requirements,

• Distinguish user-influenced requests from the true underlying business needs,

• Analyze trade-offs between usability, technology, security, compliance, performance and other factors that need to be considered when recommending solutions,

• An understanding of contemporary requirements elicitation, analysis, specification, verification, and management practices and the ability to apply them in practice,

• Familiarity with IT architecture principles and industry frameworks, and

• Organizational skills to work with the vast array of information gathered.

• Professional certifications from a recognized provider in Business Analyst & Project Management, such as IIBA, PMI, Prince2, etc. This may include, but not be limited to:
o CCBA (Certification of Competency in Business Analysis)
o CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional)
o PMP (Project Management Professional)
o PMI-PBA (Professional in Business Analysis)
