The London District Catholic School Board is currently accepting applications for:
Maintenance - Certified Tradesman - Licensed Plumber
Canadian Union of Public Employees - CUPE
Permanent Full time – 1.0 FTE (12 Month position)
Salary range: $28.38 to $31.24 hourly rate + certificates- Commensurate with Experience
Reporting to the Supervisor of Maintenance, the successful applicant will perform work in accordance with the appropriate designation as recognized by the Ontario College of trades. This involves the maintenance, repair, installation, and construction of structures, fixtures, and equipment throughout the school board sites.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applications must include a cover letter and resume, documented proof of qualifications and the names and contact information of two employment references, one of whom is your immediate supervisor. QUALIFICATIONS:
- A 306A Certificate of Qualification recognized by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities
- Excellent communication, both written and oral, and organization skills
- Computer experience required
- Self-Starter, able to function without supervision and knowledgeable and respectful of health and safety standards
- Proven ability to understand and interpret working drawings/specifications, work schedules and product/equipment directions and instructions
- Knowledge and Experience with the following:?
- Installation, maintenance and repair of plumbing systems and equipment required to operate those systems such as water mains, sanitary and stormwater systems
- Installation, maintenance, and repair of gas systems
- Installation, maintenance, test, and repair of fire sprinkler systems
- Maintenance and repair of boiler systems
- Perform other assigned duties that are within the area of knowledge and skill as required
