Position: Day Camp Counsellor
Location: Woodstock YMCA
Start Date: July 2, 2024 – August 30th, 2024
Training: TBD, June 2024
Salary: $16.55/ hour

In this role, you will:
• Learn how to effectively lead all day camp programming
• Create developmentally appropriate program plan
• Participate actively in all camp activities and special events
• Incorporate inclusive programming allowing for children of all abilities to participate
• Involve campers in choice of activity where appropriate
• Encourage campers to set and achieve goals

What you need to succeed:
• Experience working with children
• Current Emergency First Aid and CPR
• Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening as per current YMCA HR policy
• Participation in YMCA Healthy Child Development (training provided)
• A dedication to demonstrate the YMCA core values
