Our client, a leader in the transportation industry, is in need of an organized and team-oriented coordinator for the permanent position of Freight Solutions Planner. RESPONSIBILITIES:
 

• Leverage contacts and experience to build relationships and effective transportation strategies

• Manage effective plans based on customer specifications, regional and equipment requirements and special requests

• Liaise with internal departments to achieve team goals

• Implement efficient scheduling and use of equipment

• Monitor and maintain customer resources  

• Work with customers, other carriers and load brokers to balance the trucks

• Other projects as required

 
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
 

• 2-5 years of demonstrated experience in transportation logistics that spans diverse geographies

• Capable of generating leads and acting as a broker

• Able to contribute to a team while working under minimal supervision

• Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Good interpersonal skills and strong industry contacts

• Sound geographical knowledge of North America

• Advanced computer skills, including MS Office and data entry

 
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
 

• Must be willing and able to work statutory holidays when required
