Prime Management Group Inc. is pleased to be partnering with WSIB in search of a visionary and proven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their executive leadership team at an exciting time for the organization as they transition to their head office in London, Ontario. Reporting directly to the President & CEO, this dedicated and experienced leader will steer WSIB’s financial management strategies toward achieving the organization’s strategic and corporate business goals. The progressive CFO will ensure all financial operations, including reporting, actuarial management, treasury, and investments, adhere to the highest standards of quality, regulatory, and legislative guidelines.
This highly organized and results-oriented CFO will oversee the Finance division while providing empowering people leadership, thus ensuring the seamless execution of financial services and support functions. The CFO will align financial management activities with WSIB’s overarching goals and priorities by fostering continuous improvements and seeking optimal operational efficiencies. Additionally, the meticulous leader will oversee the financial planning, treasury, investment strategies, and actuarial management, all while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and contributing to the organization's strategic vision.
In partnership with the President & CEO and senior executives, the experienced CFO will contribute expert financial insights to WSIB’s strategic planning processes, developing and implementing financial strategies that bolster WSIB’s mission. The CFO’s leadership will be instrumental in managing corporate financial reporting, operations, and budget planning, ensuring a cohesive approach to WSIB’s financial health and strategic direction.
The forward-thinking CFO will navigate the complexities of WSIB’s financial landscape and cultivate robust relationships across the organization and with external partners. This trusted leader will engage with government bodies, industry colleagues, and other stakeholders to enhance WSIB’s financial operations and strategic initiatives. Through effective people management and resource optimization, the CFO will foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and excellence within the Finance division.
To excel as the Chief Financial Officer at WSIB, the ideal candidate will:
? Possess 10+ years of progressive financial, strategic, operational, and management expertise, complemented by at least 5+ years in senior management roles, such as Executive Director, Vice President, or an equivalent level. An Insurance industry background with a focus on actuarial experience is preferred.
? Hold a University Degree in Actuarial Science, Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent field, with a strong preference for those who also possess a Master's Degree in Business Administration.
? Be certified as a CA or CPA, with an additional certification as a CFE, ensuring a solid foundation in accounting principles and financial examination.
? Demonstrate an extensive track record in leading financial operations within complex organizational structures, showcasing an adeptness in financial strategy, operational excellence, and corporate governance.
? Provide visionary and transformational people leadership to a growing finance team to drive effective results.
