The Director of International Accounting and Business Development provides support and assists with the coordination of the financial accounting and reporting activities for operations across our international operations in the Caribbean and Asia/pacific.  The position is responsible for procurement of New Business.
 
The Director of International Accounting and Business Development plays a critical role by coordinating and reporting financial data from our international locations to facilitate timely and accurate financial reporting for public and statutory purposes.  It also supports the President in the design and implementation of corporate accounting policies and procedures, internal controls, and financial information systems.
 
The Director of International Accounting and Business Development also helps coordinate efforts for income tax accounting and reporting at our international operations and assists in the design and implementation of International tax strategies.  To support the ongoing expansion of our Company, the Director of International Accounting and Business Development will also assist in various operational tasks at our International Operations.  The position will require extensive travelling for a week at a time each month internationally.

 Specific duties include:

1. Assist CEO in managing financial accounting and reporting activities for all International Operations of our Company;
2. Prepare financial data and international ledgers for purposes of financial reporting and analysis;
3. Prepare analytical reviews and reporting packages for Senior Management including but not limited to profit and loss analysis, sales forecasting, cash flow forecasting, capital expenses forecasting, ad related variance analyses;
4. Prepare financial reports as needed for statutory, banking, investment and other purposes;
5. Assist corporate financial analysis and planning team by providing actual results for financial modelling and collaborating in development of financial models;
6. Supervise inter-company accounting activities for multiple entities;
7. Assist the President in the design and implementation of corporate accounting policies and procedures across our International Operations;
8. Assist in local and Corporate internal and external audit efforts by assembling and reviewing working papers;
9. Assist in resolution of any accounting and internal control issues related to Internal accounting Operations;
10. Improve timeliness and accuracy of financial closing and reporting for International Operations;
11.  Maintain a repository of historical financial data for International Operations
12. Work under the direction of the CEO to procure new business
13. Assume other activities and responsibilities from time to time as directed

Job Requirements

1.  10+ years experience in International Accounting Management with direct experience in Caribbean Business Operations and development
2. Working knowledge of CARICOM and Europe trade and associated rules/regulations and taxes
3. CA or ACCA certifications;
4.  MBA
5. BSC in Banking, Finance or Commerce

 Salary:

• $72,000/year Canadian
