Agilus is recruiting for a OLS Division Manager in the Civil Engineering industry in Kitchener, Ontario.

Our client is actively seeking an OLS Division manager to join their Kitchener, ON office. This is a growing company and ideally is looking for the ideal candidate who has experience managing a team of 12+. The ideal candidate for this role should have 5+ years of experience managing & leading a team and needs to be a registered Ontario Land Surveyor in Ontario.
A typical day:
  • Develop and execute annual business plans for OLS Kitchener office. Monitor financial performance including revenue, gross margin and income
  • Prepare monthly status reports and meet regularly with the Operations Director
  • Oversee the delivery of projects working collaboratively with your team, clients and agencies
  • Collaborate with Technical Practice leaders and others Division Managers to promote technical excellence, project management and consistency across the firm
  • Lead team of surveyors, engineers and technologists to deliver land survey and engineering projects including Reference Plans, Subdivision Plans, Plans of Condominium, Surveyors Real Property Reports, and other Plans of Survey
  • Oversee, prepare and review a variety of survey documents

You bring:
  • 5+ years of experience in managing and leading a team of surveyors and internal staff
  • Licensed Ontario Land Surveyor with the Association of Ontario Land Surveyors is required
  • A degree in Geomatics Engineering or Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Leadership skills with strong focus on business processes and the ability to motivate, coach and mentor staff
  • General familiarity with a broad field of engineering and surveying, and knowledge of reciprocal effects of the work upon other fields
  • Excellent attention to detail and sound independent judgment and decision making skills
