Job Description

The 3PL Sales manager is responsible for driving the business development of Logistics, 3PL, and Warehousing services. The successful candidate will coordinate with the management team to grow new business opportunities, prepare proposals and quotations and secure contracts for Sunrise Warehousing Company Inc.
Along with the over-all accountable of the distribution centre for planning, organizing, and regulating the inventory and maintenance operations to guarantee effective return on capital. Implements warehousing strategies and actions for the accomplishment of warehouse and logistic goals.

Responsibilites:
 
  • Prospect and connect with potential customers, following up on all sales leads.
  • Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers, developing detailed account strategies
  • Prepare and deliver client presentations
  • Maintain client database with current contact information and activity details
  • Compile monthly sales reports and meet annual sales goals and targets
  • Communicate effectively with Sales and Customer Service partners
  • Negotiate agreement terms and conditions
  • Decisions on warehouse and logistics and delivery of product.
  • Adherence to quality standards, safety programs, HACCP and CFIA requirements
  • Team member relations-disciplinary action in conjunction with Supervisors
  • Helps monitor inventory and ensures purchase orders are placed with suppliers for facility supplies.
  • Various meetings:  Team member, supervisor, customers, community interaction and suppliers
  • Develops and implements new systems and products in relation to warehouse distribution.
  • Establishes and ensures productivity goals are achieved
  • Development, implementation and monitors all maintenance, safety, sanitation and legislative requirements
  • Develops business plans and budgets to support these plans
  • Establish Quarterly goals for AGM  to achieve business plan objectives
  • Ensures all documents are completed to meet overall requirements
  • Management of warehouse & transportation activities
  • Other duties as assigned
FOOD SAFETY
 
  • Responsible for reporting and addressing food safety issues.
  • In the absence of the President is the designate for the responsibilities associated with Quality and Food safety issues.

Qualifications:
  • Completion of post-secondary education in manufacturing / warehouse management or a related field of study; and/or equivalent related work experience
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills combined with strong organizational skills
  • Flexible - Able to work well under pressure
  • Previous management leadership experience
  • Ability to lead & motivate
  • Familiarity with HACCP and SQF 2000
  • Financial and administration experience
