FIRST NATIONS, METIS AND INUIT COUNSELLOR
The First Nations, Métis and Inuit Counsellor provides school based prevention and intervention services to address the social and emotional barriers to learning for First Nations, Métis and Inuit students in elementary and secondary school settings.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE: Successful completion of a three (3) year Degree or Diploma in Child and Youth Counselling, Social Service Work or Child Studies and a minimum of one (1) year experience in a school Board or community agency providing counselling services to children and families.
This position is itinerant in nature and travel to different sites during the course of the work week is required.
Related experience involving First Nations, Métis and /or Inuit communities is preferred.
RATE OF PAY: $48,651 - $60,650
HIRING RANGE: $48,651 - $58,061
START DATE: 2017 September 05
EXPIRY DATE: 2017 July 20
