Job Description
Inteqna, London Office, is currently looking for a Technical Support Specialist for our client located in Kitchener, ON. This is a 12 month contract position.
As a Technical Support Specialist, you will primarily address software related questions regarding the use and navigation of software products. Your knowledge in hydrogeology, environmental engineering or information technology will allow you to review and assess client concerns and provide appropriate solutions.
Primary Responsibilities:
. Responding to technical software questions via phone, email and WebEx
. Remote troubleshooting of installation concerns
. Reporting software defects or suggested improvements to the development team using Microsoft Test Manager
. QA software testing for bug fixes and release candidates
. On-line software training instruction
. Hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm
The successful candidate will have many of the following qualifications:
. Exceptional trouble shooting and problem solving skills
. Knowledge of physical hydrogeology, information technology or both
. Experience in the application of numerical models (MODFLOW, MT3D, PEST)
. Knowledge of database structures (SQL, MS Access, Oracle etc.)
. Excellent written and oral communication skills
. Experience with DOS Command, Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8.1
. Knowledge of software testing
. Ability to think quickly and adapt to a changing environment
