We are seeking a Scale Attendant who is aspiring to reach their potential in the field of construction. AAROC Aggregates is part of the John Aarts Group Ltd. responsible for the supply of aggregates, landscape products, crushing, trucking and recycling.

 

Environment

 

A Scale Attendant is required to report daily to one of AAROC’s sand/gravel pits to receive customers and process sales documents. This position also entails arranging transportation of goods to customers. Some degree of physical labour is required.

 

How you will make an IMPACT

 

  • Weigh incoming and outgoing material and complete required documentation
  • Greet customers and process sales
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment
  • Maintain positive company image in appearance, conduct, and communication
  • Daily and weekly reporting
  • Inventory level counts
  • Anticipate delivery requirements
  • Arrange transportation for goods as required
  • Verify items shipped matches bills of lading and note any discrepancies
  • Organize item order by editing for price, promotions and weight compliance
  • Keep customers informed of item availability, shipment date and method, and answer any questions that may arise
  • Keep pricing, promotions, purchase orders and credit-limit information confidential
  • Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations, and compliances
  • Other duties as assigned

 

How you WOW us

 

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-3 years related experience preferred
  • Valid G Driver’s License with clean abstract
  • Must be able to lift/carry up to 50lbs
  • Capable of establishing and maintaining strong working relationships
  • Ability to keep accurate records
  • Basic Computers skills
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to Health & Safety
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
