| RESPONSIBILITIES; • Writing modular documented and efficient code. • Integrating back end web services using JSON, REST, SOAP XML etc. • Debugging PHP applications. • Development of Drupal 7 custom modules, themes, features and install profiles. • Lead development of Drupal 7 custom modules, features and install profiles. • Design and build custom Node.js applications. • Ensure code meets development standards, functional specifications and is easily maintainable. • Other duties as assigned. REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE: • A Computer Systems Technology diploma or Bachelor degree in Computing Science or Technology. • Five plus years of experience developing websites in a professional environment. • Must possess the ability to work independently or in a team setting as required. • Experience developing in multilingual, multi-region websites. • Object-oriented programming in PHP. • Knowledge of PHP5, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, HTML, CSS and SASS • Experience with managing hosting server migration and site installation. • Strong knowledge of security concerns involving web applications. • Ability to identify opportunities for further development and be up-to-date with current and changing web trends. • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite tools would be an asset. • Must have excellent communication skills; spoken, written and reading. |
