- Completion of a three-year college program in Architectural design / Drafting technology, or in a related field.
- Relevant Post-Graduate: 2 years (Preferred)
- Strong understanding of OBC
Experience / Requirements
- Excellent skills in AutoCAD and in the development of shop drawings: 3 years
- Excellent skills in Sketchup and Vray: 3 years
- Knowledge in sustainable, interior, residential, and commercial design: 3 years
- Experience with construction specifications, costs, and material estimation: 3 years
- Proficient in both Metric and Imperial measurement systems
- A minimum of 3 years of work experience in architectural/interior design office
Job Duties
- Knowledge of furniture and appliances
- Knowledge of kitchen layout, millwork drawings, and finishes specifications
- Write technical reports and specifications
- Work closely with manufacturing department and trades to ensure that the information conveyed is clear and error free
- Develop and prepare design sketches, shop drawings, and renderings
- Complete documentation packages and drawing sets
- Work alongside and regularly communicate with owners, architects, contractors, engineers, and suppliers.
- Develop and prepare landscaping, and architectural designs, plans, diagrams, layouts, and other drawings from preliminary concepts, sketches, specification sheets and other data
- Check and verify design drawings to conform to specifications and design data
- Prepare contracts, RFI, meeting notes, and similar documents
- Prepare construction specifications, costs, and material estimates
- Full understanding of construction technology and building science
- Strong understanding of redline revisions, site plan, and city comments revisions.
- Ability to follow direction, instruction and requests from Manager and clients
- Ability to manage several projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and keep files organized
- Ability to research and resolve technical and building code matters
- Conduct site measurements and complete as-built drawings
