What would I be doing in this role at D2L?

As a key member of the sales team, the successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of the company’s solutions, competition, and a keen interest in the eLearning industry.  The primary market focus is the education and corporate sectors. We are looking for an energetic, polished individual with exceptional communication skills and a talent for relationship building.

How we are doing this…

D2L is shifting learning from print (textbooks) to digital, from rigid learning activities to adaptive and personal, and from face-to-face to online and blended learning that doesn't stop as a student leaves a classroom.  It is a major transformation of learning to take it from one-size-fits-all to one-size-fits-me and elevates the outcomes for all.  We are making learning personal, engaging, and inspiring – and we are helping to prepare learners for the challenges of the future!

 

What would my main duties be?

  • Review and Triage inbound Marketing Leads to appropriate Sales and Account Management teams

  • Respond to inbound inquiries via phone and email, answering questions and qualifying potential customers

  • Becoming familiar with all D2L Partner relationships and how they relate to D2L sales

  • Able to understand and deliver D2L's unique value proposition and create solution vision with prospects

  • Accurately capture and qualify leads gathered from tradeshows, webinars, inbound calls, and other marketing initiatives

  • Update customer interactions through the CRM tool

  • Complete sales reports and conduct research, presenting findings to executive management

 

What is D2L looking for from me?

  • Interest in pursuing a sales career within a fast-paced, constantly changing environment

  • Previous sales or customer service experience preferred

  • Pro-active and goal oriented with the ability to maintain consistent levels of customer engagement activity

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task and organize/prioritize work independently

  • Demonstrated ability to work individually and collaboratively within a team environment

  • Experience with CRM or Marketing Automation tools 

  • Familiar with MS Office 

  • Willing to work flexible hours
