Job Description

Premier Project Consultants specializes in building design, project management, and development of multi-unit residential and commercial buildings in Canada, the USA, and the Caribbean. We are seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Senior Estimator with experience pricing large residential building projects to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Support project executives on multiple projects and assignments.
  • Develop scope and schedule for assigned projects and tenders.
  • Provide project specific value engineering recommendations and pricing.
  • Review project change directives while pricing for accuracy and value.
  • Prepare pre-project build schedules and General Conditions budgets.
  • Work with project team to produce monthly cashflow reports.
  • Keep an up-to-date database of unit and item costs for active and historical projects
  • Review drawings with management and provide recommendations on material or building techniques to increase vale and durability or reduce project duration.
  • Refine and update budgets as the project advances through review stages.
  • Maintain accurate and consistent files and documentation.
  • Obtaining bids with tender deadlines from vendors and subcontractors as required for multiple projects and assignments.
  • Prepare tenders with subtrade bid analysis ready for review with Senior Project Manager
  • Perform quantity take-offs for self-performed work and other work to provide accurate quantities for pricing and bid evaluation.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Estimator, with a minimum of 6 years in residential projects. Experience with high-residential would be considered an asset.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholder.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office products.
  • Ability to adapt to changing environment and timelines.
  • Direct experience in Design-Build estimates. Experience with Pre-case estimates would be considered an asset.
  • Ability to incorporate value engineering.
  • Completion of post-secondary education with a degree or diploma in related field.
