We are looking for a Senior Project Manager who will be responsible to ensure on-time and on-budget project completion, and overall customer satisfaction. It is crucial that our Senior Project Managers promote a positive company image through safety, quality, consistency, and professionalism.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and deliver a variety of projects to customer scope, schedule, and on budget while maintaining safety, quality, adherence to standards and codes and customer satisfaction 
  • Work directly with Estimating, Engineering, Production, Procurement, H&S, and Customers on the seamless execution of projects. 
  • Manage and own project related documentation including, schedule, approvals, budget tracking, ERP updates, Action Tracker, meeting minutes, and internal forms 
  • Facilitate and lead customer meetings, design reviews, Factory Acceptance Test, Site Acceptance Tests and other required project milestones 
  • Lead project team in the completion of projects including facilitating customer deliverables, information gathering, and regular status updates
  • Work with Purchasing and Field Services to anticipate potential challenges or risks to project timelines at customer sites 
  • Adhere to all Project Management policies and procedures, and looking for opportunities for improvement
  • Provide mentorship, coaching and training to Project Managers, Project Coordinators, Foreman and Lead Hands as needed
  • Work with Purchasing and Field Services to anticipate potential challenges or risks to project timelines at customer sites 
  • Ensure all Field crews have all the equipment, materials, and appropriately skilled personnel to complete the project
  • Gather all necessary project information and costs for the purposes of compiling and writing up change notices and out of scope work (extras).
  • Source appropriately qualified subcontracting labour where required to meet job demands.
  • Work with Purchasing, suppliers, and vendors to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Work with TMG Finance team to ensure all paperwork (customer files, job files and quotes) are accurate and completed in a timely manner.
  • Participate in weekly production meetings.
  • Assist in obtaining new customers as requested
  • Always conduct oneself in a professional manner in alignment with Company values, including but not limited to language use, attire, and workmanship
  • In accordance with Company policy and relevant employment legislation, overtime and work outside of regular hours, and being on call may be required at the discretion of the company
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4-10 years of project management experience, managing projects ranging from $500k- 2M 
  • Construction management experience an asset 
  • Food and Bev, Pharmaceutical, or Automation experience is an asset 
  • Post-secondary education preferred with a background in project management, mechanical design or electrical engineering
  • Relevant trade certification an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, time and budget management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and AutoCAD True View.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems with preference for experience working with Microsoft NAV Dynamics
  • Willing and able to travel to customer locations as needed
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
