Working to a full scope of practice, the Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive primary care nursing within a clinical care team focused on the needs of people who are significantly marginalized. The RN conducts analyses of health behaviours related to lifestyle and culture, review of clients’ medical history, physical assessments, and in collaboration with the client, development and implementation of person-centred care plans.
THE COMPENSATION PACKAGE
- A starting salary range of $72,000 - $78,000

- 100% employer-paid health & dental package, including up to $2,000/benefit year for mental health, $1,500 for massage therapy Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP)
- Paid sick and personal time, plus vacation time starting at 3 weeks

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Postsecondary diploma (RN) or degree (BScN) from a recognized college or university
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- At least 2 years of nursing experience in a community setting OR combination of community and hospital or public health setting; experience in primary care is an asset
- Demonstrated ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds through an inclusive and anti-oppressive lens
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Awareness and understanding of the social determinants of health and health promotion
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong computer skills, including the use of Electronic Medical Records (Telus Practice Solutions Suite currently in use)
- French and other language skills are considered an asset in supporting the communities we serve
