Network and Help Desk Manager

With 90+ years’ experience in the freight transportation industry, Contrans Group Inc. is one of North America’s most diversified freight transportation providers and a customer-driven organisation. Built on small company values, Contrans is a fast-paced, ever-growing company who is seeking an energetic and adaptable Network and Helpdesk Manager for their Woodstock location.
Reporting to the Vice-President, Information Technology, the highly organized and detail-oriented Network and Helpdesk Manager will define, monitor, and manage projects while leading, mentoring, and supervising the high-functioning network and helpdesk teams. The proactive and resourceful Network and Helpdesk Manager will also perform system maintenance, ensuring all systems are kept current and recommending upgrades and improvements as well as defining test strategies, reviewing results, and providing conclusions and recommendations based on these results.
The successful candidate will have 10+ years’ experience in the field or a related area, with a minimum of 3 years’ managing, leading, and supervising. You will have a positive and professional attitude, excellent customer service skills, and exceptional interpersonal skills to work and communicate well with others to build strong relationships. Must have strong leadership, time management, and prioritisation skills to manage shifting priorities and multiple projects. Working knowledge of common OS, hardware, and software applications, along with a strong understanding of process flows and mapping, conducting structured analysis, and the project management lifecycle are required for success in this position.
Additional knowledge of the following is also desired: SQL, DB2, Check Point firewalls, CommVault, Citrix, Avaya IPO, Qlik Sense, and Veeam, along with experience in financial management systems, data warehousing and reporting tools, imaging and content management systems, fleet equipment maintenance software, the IBM i power systems software, and experience managing complex projects.
