Role:
Reporting to the Credit Manager, this position is responsible for providing support to both the Credit and the Sales Departments.
Role Responsibilities:
 
  • Preparing and distributing monthly management reports within the operating company and Sysco Corporate.
  • Reviewing customer accounts and files.
  • Managing a specific credit portfolio
  • Collecting of NSF cheques and maintaining NSF files
  • Reconciling of customer accounts
  • Establishing strong and effective working relationships with the sales team to assist in resolving collection issues and outstanding items such as missed invoices and unprocessed credit notes
  • Preparation of various spreadsheets for tracking.
  • Copying, faxing and scanning.
  • Ability to travel for meetings when required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements:
 
  • Completion of post-secondary education preferably in Business, Accounting/Finance.
  • A minimum of one (1) year experience in a credit or related role.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and organizational skills.
  • Ability to deal with difficult situations or people.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet, and Intranet
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent customer service and time management skills.
