Agilus is currently engaged in a search with our client, a reputable Finance company located in Waterloo, ON  for a  Senior Financial Analyst-  Insurance Solutions.

This is a 1-year contract role. Currently working remote but will have to work from office once it reopens.

Duties & Responsibilities:

€¢ Participate in the internal initiatives focused on improving the quality of professional services delivered by the team.

€¢ Ensure all financial information is prepared according to the company internal controls and governance. 

€¢ Other tasks required of a Financial Analyst who consistently adds value by assisting in improving business practices and profitability on behalf of stakeholders.

€¢ Provide consultation on accounting issues €“ develop requirements where appropriate and change process and needed. 

€¢ Ensure fulfillment of all local obligations from a statutory perspective.

€¢ Implementing IFRS 17 requirements and including data assessments, investigation and interpretation of financial reporting & regulatory requirements. Incorporate these requirements into controlled and efficient reporting processes

€¢ Coordinate and review appropriate accounting for special transactions

Qualifications:

€¢ CPA designation with 5-7 years of related industry experience.

€¢ Knowledge of Insurance accounting, as well as regulatory rules for Insurance with the ability to translate into practical applications.

€¢ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 

€¢ Experience with Hyperion Essbase and Tableau applications

€¢Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with strong attention to detail.

€¢Strong operational expertise in reporting and systems competencies 

€¢Ability to organize, prioritize and make decisions that require innovative thinking.

€¢Strong experience of financial reporting systems and tools.

€¢Excellent MS Excel skill

Pay rate

T4: $53.16-$54.45/hr

INC: $63.29-$64.84/hr
