Role: Basketball Coach – Various Locations at YMCA facilities in:
North London
East London
Downtown London
Komoka
St. Thomas
Strathroy
Contract Dates: September - December 2017
Job Summary:
The YMCA of Western Ontario in partnership with the London Lightning requires Basketball Coaches to deliver and coach basketball training, drills and tournaments to youth aged 8-16 in a recreational setting. This is an excellent opportunity for those that have experience in coaching basketball to children and youth.
Minimum Qualifications:
-Must enjoy working with children and youth.
-Must have experience in basketball and coaching.
-Qualified candidates must possess a passion for learning through play.
-Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification
-Clear Criminal Reference Check and Vulnerable Persons Screening

Responsibilities:
-Planning basketball drills, activities and games
-Maintaining a safe, fun environment for all participants
-Leading, guiding and/or coordinating schedules with other Instructors
-Set-up, maintenance and tear-down of program equipment
-Physical demands include: Walking, running, standing, carrying gear, pushing and/or pulling.
Wage: $12/hour
